Lack of basic facilities in Higher Secondary School Arin Causes Hardships for Students

Bandipora, August 3, 2024 — Students of Higher Secondary School Arin are facing significant challenges due to a lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure. Originally upgraded from a high school to a higher secondary school in 2007, the institution still operates with the same outdated accommodation and infrastructure of the former high school.

Several classes are being conducted outdoors, with students having to study under the open sky. In the intense heat, students are forced to take lessons on the ground, exacerbating their difficulties.
Speaking to the media, students expressed their frustration, stating, “In this extreme heat, it is very difficult for us to attend classes outdoors. We have brought this issue to the administration’s notice, but no solution has been provided so far. As a result, we continue to face numerous hardships.”

Despite the presence of a middle school building adjacent to the higher secondary school, which could potentially accommodate some of the classes, the concerned department has never addressed this issue seriously. As a result, students continue to suffer from these inadequate conditions.

The students have now appealed to the district administration to address this matter with urgency. They argue that without essential facilities and improved infrastructure, their education quality is severely compromised, potentially hindering their academic progress and future prospects.
