Bandipora, June 21: In a significant protest today, local residents of Tulail Gurez locked the gates of the High School Gurez, demanding immediate action to address the severe staff shortage plaguing the institution. The protestors voiced their frustration, stating that the lack of teachers and administrative staff has severely impacted their children’s education.
Talking to Groundzero Bharat Residents said we have been raising this issue with authorities for several months, but no effective measures have been taken thus far. One of the protestors expressed their desperation, stating, “We were compelled to take this step to make the authorities listen and resolve this issue. Our children’s future is at stake, and we are deeply concerned.”
During the protest, the demonstrators chanted slogans in front of the school and called on the authorities to deploy a full staff immediately to ensure uninterrupted education for the students. They warned that if their demands were not met promptly, they would escalate their actions.
In response to the situation, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez Said, “We will look into this matter and make efforts to resolve it as soon as possible.”
